You heard a knock 'maybe they'll go away' You thought. Sadly not. You sat up in your bed and shuffled to the door. "Who is it?" You ask
"Shikamaru" A voice replied. You looked at what you were wearing nothing but your T-shirt and underwear. You thought about changing but decided you were too tired. You swung the door open.
"What the heck pineapple head!? Its five in the morning!"He looked you over and his face took on a pinkish tint.
"Umm Lady Tsunade has a mission for us.."
"And we have to leave at five in the morning!?"
"Umm no actually were sopposed to leave at about ten"
"Well couldn't you of at least waited till eight to tell me or even nine I can get ready in an hour"
"Well I thought I should let you know and um well..." You rubbed your eyes and started to head back to your bed releasing a slight yawn.
"Yeah okay" you said getting in your bed "Wake me up later"
"Nuh-uh" he said grabbing your hand" You get ready and then you can lay back down" you tried to snuggle deeper in your covers but Shikamaru was stronger then you. Finally you conceded and got up.
"Fine" You groan you whipped your shirt off, and started rummaging for clothes you caught a glance in Shikamaru's direction his face was bright red as he shielded his eyes. You put on a F/C shirt and some blue jeans. Then you groggily went around your house putting necessity's in your back-pack.
"Do you have the tent?" You ask tiredly
"Yeah I got it, Hey whats up with you, rogue ninja can attack at four in the morning and you'll pop right up and kick butt, but now your all.."
"Meh" You said
"Exactly" He finishes. You sigh
"Look, I'm just tired i've had three, no two hours of sleep, i've been having bad dreams all night long" You sigh again " Well that looks like everything, Goodnight" You trudged back to your bed and looked over your shoulder, "Hey its still early want to lay here with me?" He shuffled his feet
"I dont know..'' He said. You sigh.
''Here" You said picking up the sole toy that lay on your bed" You can have Plagg's spot" you said patting the area where the toy once was.
"I dont think i-"
"Just lay down" you interrupted him. He sighed
"Alright, but this is such a drag" He laid down next to you. You curled over to one side to give him space an you closed your eyes.Your nightmare returned causing you to sit bolt upright in the bed, cold sweat running down your neck.
"Hey, you okay?" A voice said. You jumped at the sound of it, you turned around.
''Oh Shikamaru I forgot you were here" he looked at you with a concerned gaze
"I'm fine just nightmares" You say as you lay back down" Sometimes they just wont let you sleep" As you finished your sentence you realized how close you were your noses would be touching if he was facing you. but He was laying on his back, facing the ceiling.
"Hey, Shikamaru?"
"Yeah,Y/N?"
"Can I-Can I lay on your chest?" His face went red
"S-Sure" He said you scooched closer to him and laid your head on his chest. You could hear his rapid heartbeat slowly slow to normal you sigh contently and fall asleep.
