Fiona playing baseball? Seems good. Also... NO, FIONA! DON'T HUG THE DOLL! IT'S MADE BY ROBOTNIK! Or Eggman. Or whatever his name is.

That's amusing, seeing Fiona with a Tails Doll plushie. Hope it doesn't devour her soul.

It's not certain if Fiona is gone forever from the Archie comics. She wasn't technically a Penders creation but at this point who knows what will become of her. I'm hoping as well that a different incarnation will be made of her to fit into the new continuity. Perhaps a new design and a less evil personality? I have my fingers crossed but I won't be holding my breath for her appearance anytime soon.
If she doesn't appear ever, well, I still have my fan comics and animation, heh.

If I can help clear things up:
Penders never considered Fiona to be his. She wasn't one of the disputed characters.
The disappearance of the remaining characters that weren't Penders' is Archie sweeping them under the rug, after Penders' (Phyrric) victory pointed out just how easy it would be for the writers that they've screwed to sue them. THey don't know who they can use and who will result in another lawsuit because Archie's higher-ups are assholes, so for now, the characters are gone.
Fiona was created by Michael Gallagher, who seemed to be on good terms with Archie before, within Flynn's run. THe characters that he created are the most likely to get a revival, logically.
As stated above, Penders' victory was a Phyrric one. Sure, he got what he wanted, but he pissed off and alienated the only target audience that his own projects had. The only people that The Lara-Su Chronicles held appeal for was Archie fans. Except they're now pissed at him for taking the cast away from the comic, so they're hardly going to pay him money for it. His comic is more than likely to crash and burn, even faster and more spectacularly than Other-M. What this means for the characters after the fact is anyone's guess.
At least, that's how I understand it.

Thanks for the little info here. I was never a hundred percent clear on the Penders case and didn't want to bring attention to it in other forums. It seems like the fan base has had their chance to talk about it at length but I seemed to be "late to the party". Either way, it's nice to know that Fiona might have a chance to return to the comics.

From what I understand, the whole thing is a mess, Penders is a dick, Archie are even bigger dicks, and they got what they deserved, and Penders will by getting his soon enough as well.
I just hope they do something interesting or clever with her. Knowing Flynn's handling of her character, it's unlikely, but still. All the events that led to her becoming damaged and exploitable hinged on Robotnik Prime, who no longer exists in the new universe, so technically, her whole motive has fallen apart (Well, moreso than it did in Bold New Moebius). If she's still a villain... Well, she won't have a personality.

I just started reading the comic this year. It was very sad when I hit Sonic Universe #32 and then found out it was the end of the story.
