Finally! Finally at long last! This is my OC, Cressida (Sid for short) and as you can tell, she's a harpy from Greek mythology. This is kind of a rough sketch, but I like the sketchy look

Harpies are one of my favorite mythological creatures.
Like I do with most mythological creatures, I try to portray harpies not as the ugly screeching bird monsters they've been made out to be, but as graceful winged people...who just happen to have bird feet (Harpy does mean "to snatch.") Seems like there are several different origin stories for them, but I like the one where Demeter gave her daughter Persephone's companions bird wings so they could try to find her when she was kidnapped by Hades.

Now that Sid has been somewhat introduced (I'll draw her in color later) I can start introducing her friends ....and enemies (dun dun duuuuuuun!)
