Description Steve Burnside & Claire Redfield are copyright to Capcom
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger/Gosei Sentai Dairanger are copright to Toei and Saban respectively.

This was actually drawn as a mistake! Previously when planning to enter the competition last year, I misread the entry submission type - it was supposed to be anime related rather than just Japanese TV, which I couldn't get away with with Power Rangers being originally a mish-mash of Japanese Super Sentai! When I found out that I had made an error, I rushed and made this entry as posted many moons ago: cheeb.deviantart.com/art/The-V…

Of course this piece being half done was left dormant for the last 10 months, with me meaning to finish it. It seemed such a waste just to completely abandon.

Finally did get around to completing it! This one is for , as she is still waiting on an art request from me, but I figured she'd like to see this as a little extra beforehand.

Oh man, I still can't get over Steve's bulge... I spent a little too long over it, and freaking out because it just seemed to get bigger!

I figured they'd make a great White and Pink Ranger (based on the original loved up pair of Tommy and Kimberly!)

Please see here for a scrappy ditty that I did along side this picture: cheeb.deviantart.com/art/MMRER…

I'm really not a fan of the Power Rangers but I think this crossover is great

I was of the original power ranger days, though having seen the original Japanese version in Zyuranger, I much prefer the latter. I figured making them power rangers had a tiny bit of irony - RE characters always act like superheroes anyway.

I just thought you did it to give them better alternate costumes

Pfft! Claire has had some amazing alternate costume! Her battle outfit and RE2 secret outfit rock the socks! And Steve got his Axe Monster jacket

Yeah they did but you can never have too many good alternate costumes.

I still like Race Queen/Evil Claire from Code Veronica X battle game best.

Claire's facial expression is so cute. I was rewatching the old MMPR series in a nostalgia rush the previous day btw.
Damn, that power metal opening is still awesome.

You must watch Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger where all the action footage for Power Rangers came from. Power Rangers was great for what it was at the time, but Zyuranger has a lot more going for it, and the villianous entourage actually do more in that version.

I have watched it, while I appreciated the mature content they put, as Bandora trying to murder kids (and it was really sad when Burai died) I just could not tolerate the mediocre music/sounds they have in the Japanese version, and dont get me started on the awfull ending theme.

And dont give me the "Japan in the 80's" excuse, some other similar shows had really epic music. [link]

I dare you see it, it was quite an awesome show. I show it before Power Rangers, my then-4-year-old brother was so afraid of the killings that took place at 5:00 that he literally was hiding under our bed. Man, I still remember it.

Also, stay as far away from the Greek Dub as you can. Unless you want to laugh, really.

Can't give you Japan in the 80's because it wasn't even the 80's when Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger was made. It was '92-ish. The ending theme is hilarious though completely doesn't fit the show. It had really retro video game sounds, which I didn't mind, just because it just seems so super sentai for it!

Unfortunately, I have no idea what show that was with the greek dub - it seemed like a super sentai from the late 70's/early 80's. Unfortunately beyond Power Rangers, I don't think we ever got any dubbed english of the original Japanese shows.

I gave you the English sub as well. search for it if you dont mind .

The show was called "Bio Men" and it was quite funny, it belonged to TOEI.
Full opening here btw. [link]

Its weird that they never really showed any dubbed stuff here. I'm glad I get to see it now as the stuff from the 70's to the mid-90's always seemed so silly awesome. It must have been great to see these much earlier dubbed into Greek.

There was an English version, a lot of episodes if not all if I am not mistaken, I just don't know if it was dubbed previously.

The Greek dub suffered from two heavy issues.

1.As it is with most anime or cartoons here they dubbed only a small portion of their episodes in Grekk (8-9).

2.The dub itself, I mean the voices are crappy, the context is non-existand and... cant really say what it is, it is as if someone kidnap Japanese people and forced them to dub the show.

The syntactical and grammatical errors cannot be excused another way. It's so bad it's funny to hear it and look at it at the same time.

Not sure by that when they did do an English version, and it depends where they were actually showing it.

I think even if something is so terrible, there can be some charm with it that makes it enjoyable and memorable.

You are right here. Another example, ask any guy at my age and beyond in Greece (Im 26 but anyone 24+ will do btw) to tell you who is their most favorite anime series, you will hear mixed calls ranging from new (FMA,Code Gease,Naruto, One Piece etc.), old (Robotech, Area 88, Submarine "Thunder", Captain Harlock) etc.

Ask them who was the anime that made them laugh more than ever and you will hear only one answer: Iga no Kabamaru.
I mean even wiki refers about it in an article. [link] (check under the reception bar)

[link] Check from 3:50 to 4:58 and you will catch just a tiny portion of it.
