Hey Bruddah, what month did you go there to see the monk seals? I always try going around February, but I can never find them :/ Just tons of albatross lol

I went to Kaena twice- once in October and again in February. They've been there both times in the same place but they can be hard to spot. Check the tidepools just off the shore (if they're lying in the sun they look just like big rocks and it's so easy to miss them)

Nah man I was there around those times as well, checkin' the tidepools, I suppose your just lucky :3. I've seen a couple at Green Sands in Kona though

Indeed a hit and miss, kinda like whale watching as well (I'm really unlucky on the whales too lol) So are you also from Oahu?

I've only ever seen whales from offshore (around the Halona Blowhole) and then only their spouts but it was awesome. And yeah, I've lived here almost 13 years. What about you?

Ah cool, I don't really get to go around blowhole but I never knew there would be whales on that side :3. I've lived on Oahu for most of my life so about 17 years I think.

The one on the right looks so serious. He is really going to get that other one. Show him who's boss.
I like the close up so that I can see all the details. Seeing the soaked fur and the spread of the whiskers is wonderful because it is so much like actually seeing them and not just a photo. The shine of purple on them is interesting. I am assuming it is just the sun and water reflecting off of their coats, but it adds a nice splash of otherwise foreign color to the shot.

Thanks for the continuing support- I LOVE reading your comments. <3 Yeah, it's funny because they look so serious here but apparently they've been almost inseparable best buds for several years now and this is all for show/play. They actually really reminded me of my dogs, haha!

I really like all the animals you post. And you can tell they are friends in some way I think. But it is so nice to see them in your photos though I can't see them in real life.
