My first deviation of 2024. This picture is based on a pond close to where I live. I had a leftover pack of pastels which I used only once before for my earlier picture about the French Motocycle lady in her room. I tried to use up the remaining pastels for this picture. I'm much happier with how my first picture turned out more than this second one did, especially considering they're both twenty-five years apart. This one is short on the detailing I wanted to draw, although I do still enjoy the resulting picture and how the colors all blend (my fingertips were quite raw after rubbing the pastel colors together on a 28 x 20 inch sheet of thin poster board).
