Description
He'd done it this time, he was sure of it. The others were going to hate him! He'd ruined the TV, Don had just finished fixing it up a week ago, and it was the first TV they'd ever been able to find that wasn't completely broken. But now…

He stared over at the smoking pile of junk. He'd accidently run into it while he was pretending to be Silver Sentry, and it had fallen over on it's side. Don would be mad at him, Raph would tell him that he hated him, and Leo, Leo would just give him that disappointed stare that he always did! It wasn't his fault that his legs were short and he stumbled into it!

Footsteps tapped through the sewers, and Mikey got up and quickly moved towards the room they all shared. No one could know it was him, otherwise they'd get all mad!

He disappeared into their room as soon as the others rounded the corner. They probably wanted to watch that brand new show, what was it, Justice Force? He loved that show, but now he couldn't watch it, and he couldn't even blame Raph this time! He snuggled under the blankets further, pretending to sleep as the others came into the room.

Little drops of tears built in his eyes, but he refused to let them fall, even if his shoulders shaking were enough of a giveaway.

Raph's angry footsteps were heard first, angry shouts of "Stupid Mikey! You always break everything!" echoing behind him.

Don was silent for a bit, but his words hurt just as much. "Why can't you stay away from my things? Everything I build you break." He turned and left as well.

Master Splinter had probably left as well, but that left only one brother. Leo.

Mikey sat up, throwing the blankets off of him and glaring at Leo with tearful eyes. "What!? Do you hate me too!?"

His eyes widened, the tears falling down his cheeks as he was pulled into a hug. "It's okay Mikey… they don't mean it, they really don't. They're mad, but they don't hate you. Everyone makes mistakes, but we love you for them."

Mikey leaned further into his brother, small sobs breaking free. Leo didn't hate him… and he said the others didn't either.

"Don't worry Mikey, I could never hate you. You're my baby brother. I love you always." He lightly ruffled his brother's non-existant hair before he leaned back, giving Mikey a smile. "Come on, we'll go and see if there's any way we can fix it. We'll ask Master Splinter, okay?"

Mikey nodded, a smile breaking across his tear streaked face, and his hand reached out for Leo's.

Mikey leaned back against the couch, a fond smile on his face as he recalled the memory. Leo was still the same as he was back then. If just a little more, tough?

He looked up in surprise at the hand that was held out to him, a smile touching at Leo's older features. "Come on Mike, we gotta get going, and if you don't hurry up, you know Master Splinter is going to be making you do extra flips."

Mikey's smile widened and he took his brother's hand. "Right."

Big brothers may change, but they were always there for you.
