Guys this is like my favorite from all the prompts I did. So a little backstory: I went to Art 2 Wear, a fashion show created by a collaboration between the College of Textiles and the College of Design at NC State University, and one of the gowns looked like a big mass of melting wax and had little candles in these pockets of "wax". I don't think it's hard to say that this was my favorite piece of the whole show.
So in honor of that and the prompt I decided to ballet-ify it. Ahiru is wearing the short replica and Fakir is wearing a costume I made up to match up. Candle ballet! XDI did this in colored pencil but couldn't get the right candle lighting at the current time, so I tweaked the lights with Photoshop to give it a better glow.
All characters belong to the show Princess Tutu.

I remember you told me about that dress! What a great way to channel the inspiration! I love her dress, you did a wonderful job representing the wax and candles. Fakir is too cute: his little worried face seems to be just tallying all the things Duck is going to set on fire by accident!

Umm I kinda made up Fakir's outfit. XD Though a lot of male ballet costumes look a like, I don't believe Fakir wore something like this in the anime. But yes Fakir and Mytho do look really cool when they are in their ballet attire.

It's not scary I swear! D: It's just a really soft puffy cloth that's put in a way to look like wax and I think the candles were those electronic ones. XD I don't think Ahiru would be as calm as she is if it was real wax and fire. Thanks so much!

Awww thanks! XD The Art 2 Wear dress that Ahiru's dress is based on was so much prettier though, I wish it could have been my prom dress. That dress was the first thing that popped in my mind when I heard the word Light.

Hahaha it would hurt but it's just suppose to look like wax. XD The Art 2 Wear dress was so much cooler because it was really puffy lacy cloth and overall it looked really cool.
