Another contest entry! This time for ~EnchantedTopaz with their characters Caesar the German Shepherd(left) and Heart the Aussie/Shiba/ect? (right).
These two were too cute NOT to draw! I just love them!! ;u;
I chose the first theme for the contest, and of course I had to use Coldplay. It just so happens that they mentioned snow, so the second theme was kinda brought in by accident.
And of course, the obligatory sunset. <3

This piece is seriously gorgeous, I ADORE your art, and so to see my characters in your style just makes me so happy it's unreal <3 That little breath that becomes a heart and the snowflakes falling everywhere, the lighting is SUPERB like I don't even understand how to do lighting and you're just blowing me away here with that gorgeous bg and the sunset is amazing and their shadows are so gorgeous and add so much depth to this it's phenomenal! I love the gentle snuggle and their body builds you did SO PERFECTLY and that size difference is RIGHT ON TARGET I don't even comprehend how much amazingness is in this piece!
You did such a great job with the fur and the lighting I keep repeating myself don't I but it's just too darn amazing! And I love the expressions oh gosh I am a hugeeeee expression-emotion person and you did these two SO WELL with Caesar looking down so fondly at him and Heart just all placated and enjoying every bit of the snuggling it's GORGEOUS ;v; <3 <3 <3

Beautiful composition and background. The characters being placed in the center works for this and I like the white frame you added, it looks very nice. The snowflakes in the foreground really make this look like a magical moment, along with the colors and soft brushes used in the background. Really good choice of color-- the blue and orange complements each other and makes it more intense without it being too intense, thanks to the lighter tint and soft brushes you used.
On the con side, the snow they're standing on appears to be just as blurred as the mound of snow behind them, which takes away from the illusion of depth this would've had. You could have the edges a bit sharper on the snow mound closer to the foreground. Their shadows are too blurry as well. It's okay to have blurry shadows, because I do like the softness of it, but in the future try making the shadows appear a little more solid, and maybe a bit darker. If there is only light source in the picture, the shadows will always be darker where they first start, so keep that in mind.
Over all, wonderful picture. I hope you win, or at least place, in that contest.

More cuteness. xD I like the warm colors of the sunset, really brings out the warmth in the theme and offsets the cold snow a little.
