No, Legolas loves his adopted sister Laura from Legolas by Laura.

I agree....they could at least be creative I hate when people through themselves/their Ocs at characters in fan fics and then the character falls instantly in love...it gets old and annoying and boring....I hate it. -.- seriously people! That is NOT how love works!! D:< LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT DOES NOT ALWAYS HAPPEN EITHER.
At least I'm not the only one who sees it this way...

Mmmm, I understand what you mean here.
Some people love the character so much that they want him to huh love their FC, wich some fans can accept, as long they're respectful to people who created the character.
But some others fans really loves the currents REAL pairings of the story, wich is understandable, too.Β
And there's some people that ALSO love both real pairings AND fan-made love pairings, wich I am one of them.
See, I sawed the ''Desolation of Smaug'' and I got a crazy need to ''made'' a ''fan kid'' for Legolas and Tauriel, since I love them. But I'd also would like to make my own FC, who could have a possible romance with Legolas, maybe not.
But as a true artist and fan of Lord of the Rings, I respect people choices, tastes and likes, as long they can respect my own choices and likes, too.

Don't... read them? I dunno... I love OCs. I like to see the spins normal people put on the stories. Some of them are very creative. It's nothing to get frustrated with, there are plenty of stories without ocs to pick from.Β

I totally love Legolas.
And I totally fantasize about him and my OC as pair.
But I can also sympathize, I see how it would be irritating.

I half agree.
I like LegolasxOC fanfics. Hell, I WRITE LegolasxOC fanfics (currently editing one). With that being said I do not like reading badly written LegolasxOC fanfics. When I go through them and see "Legolas falls in love with Sauron's daughter", "Legolas falls in love with orc princess", "Legolas falls in love with random OC who knows every single damn thing that's going to happen and has little to no personality, but it somehow works anyway", and "Legolas falls in love with the world's biggest bitch" I get a little insulted. As someone who enjoys writing LegolasxOC fanfiction I do not like it when constant stereotypes are used (though I have used some, but only ones that are actually good ideas) and I do not like reading about a generic OC who is EXACTLY like the last one I saw earlier.

Firstable, sorry for my poor english.
Don't like - don't read, simple.
You know... Okay, I agree, most of these FF are similar to each other / bad written / very silly, but hey... It's writing. Art. Emotions. Maybe not deep, but still.
Writing for the drawer is, for me, not so good. Now these girls can read some criticism & learn writing skills. Just have fun, imagine that Legolas is perfect for her OC.
Well... but it's just my opinion. Everyone has their own x3
You can't say that you didn't ever think about YourOCxLegolas. Everyone thought ;3

I totally agree with you - authors need to get their head straight and actually come up with something readable and create a female OC without making her fall in love with poor Legolas ...

I half agree with this. I agree that most part of these OC fics are all the same, but I think that fanfiction is a way to write whatever appears in your mind, if not offensive for the original work. I think of course, that you have to know enough details to write a fanfiction and flee from the steriotypes (I donΒ΄t really know how to write this). But IΒ΄ve read one or two good OC fanfictions, that although the character didnΒ΄t really exist the author did make a good "fall in love" story, because he scaped the melodrama and fluffy romance, so the character was balanced and could have been even compared to Arwen in some points, I think.

I agree with you, if is well written, and well developed, I don't have a problem with it.
However, the Mary Sues annoy me to no end.
Legolas keeps mostly to himself, he won't fall in love so easily!
