A labor of love Long awaited fanart of characters from the manga and anime, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon.

The original idea behind this drawing of teenage Chibi Usa and friends started all the way back when I was in high school (2001-ish)! It can be seen here: img17.imageshack.us/img17/7199… .
Back then I had just started drawing on my first professional grade creme-colored drawing paper pad. Reading the manga, I loved that the Amazon Quartet and Sailor Saturn would be Sailor Chibi Moon's future team so I set out to draw them as friends together. I even ended up designing some cool clothes for them, but the drawing was never completely colored nor up to my standards. It was left to gather dust as I pursued better fanarts.

Well, after staring at the drawing for awhile months back I decided I would try again, this time all digitally (thank you Mikey!!) and make some really worthwhile designs! This also ended up being a kind of celebration and thank you for over 25,000 pageviews here on deviantART Thank you all so much! DeviantART is the BEST!!

Characters:From the top left to right are Diana (in her human form!), Chibi Usa (Sailor Chibi Moon) , Hotaru (Sailor Saturn), Jun Jun (Sailor Juno); from the bottom left to right are Ves Ves (Sailor Vesta), Momo (Chibi Usa's friend all the way back from elementary school), Chibi Chibi (who I decided would get a second chance at life in the Neo Crystal Tokyo), Palla Palla (Sailor Pallas), and Cere Cere (Sailor Ceres).

Original Designs: Oye, I put so much fangirl thought into this one! I also designed every piece of clothing and jewelry, some based on the original character designs and others purely from scratch. I also made my own interpretations on the hair designs. The motif that I emphasized for each costume was "crossing lines," as in fishnet, crossing and threaded ribbons, V-neck collars, lace, checkerboard plaid, bows, braids, chains, and overlapping articles. So much fun to create!

I'd like to make Diana's outfit as cosplay someday. She'd jingle where ever she went. I originally intended Chibi Usa to be wearing a high school fuku, but then designed one that might be worn as a ceremonial costume for diplomatic duties (she is the princess of the universe after all). Though not as necessary in a future of peace, sailor fuku would still be revered. I wanted something sexy and mature for Hotaru so I combined a halter top with two over lapping corset designs. Juno was really hard to design for because I had to think up more on the motif theme, but based on her amazon costume, she'd probably want to show some of skin. I added some classy elements though.

Ves Ves had a foxy and confident street punk style in my eyes so I gave her a tube-like top with baggy pants and ribbons. Her hair design became my favorite. I felt Chibi Usa would make friends again with Momo even though it would be a new beginning because true friends are meant to be no matter what! Momo always wore Chinese dresses to school in the manga so I created something futuristic for her. I didn't want Chibi Chibi to disappear in the 30th century, so I thought she'd get a second chance to live and maybe help the Queen keep an eye out for things. I gave her a cute fuku. Palla Palla, the smallest girl except for Chibi Chibi, was also really hard to design for. She was the last to be finished and gave me a hard time. Shiny biker shorts! Cere Cere always seemed flashy so I gave her a fun gown.
