This is my end of the art trade with She knows of my deep dark secret to make and decorate masks, and she asked me to make one for her. I absolutely love the way it turned out. It's so beautiful. I hope she enjoys it as much as I do.

The base of the mask is one you can buy from Hobby Lobby or other craft stores; it came with a string to allow you to wear it after decoration. I painted it with a maroon color, since that is what Demi asked for, and I went from there with some minor details with gold paint, as to not take away from the feathers. I used painted foam balls from a floral arrangement I found a little while ago. (they are very lightweight) I also added black, white and some other pretty brown feathers I found as well. I didn't add any glitter to the mask, because I felt it would take too much away from the mask, as it already gives off a certain feel... which I cannot describe at the moment. It's a somewhat tribal feeling. Glitter would ruin that look/feeling.

I had to wear the mask to get any detail in a photograph because this particular mask curves with your face, so the frontal view doesn't capture a whole lot. Though, I did take one for you all to look at to get the basic idea. Take a look:
