Who pleaded for his life to be over
But they denied him that simple pleasure
To be laid to rest forever.

He begged and cried
And still they denied
Him such a simple pleasure
To be lost in the dark of no measure.

Then one day the toy soldier
Convinced that his life was over
Rose up against them and did declare
That from then on, he would be aware
And that the life he once wanted ceased
Would walk until the hearts of the lost were released."

I was staring at my coffee this morning, watching the steam rise up, and got inspired to incorporate it into a painting somehow. It's been a while since I did a proper painting of my oc, Cyrus, so this worked out perfectly as practice and fun.
