this pic was going good until i started the background o_o...i killed it!!!...at least my scanner didn't stuff up this one...i quite like drawing this character ^-^ i love drawing the swirly cloud scarf. i did this one all in copics.

Yeah...you don't want to have them all sound Japanese. It does begin to get a feeling that is described as "closed-in narrowminded" which, in this sense, would only basically mean using Japanese names exclusively just because.
Yeah...I do agree that she needs a different color scarf. It blends into her shirt too well and can't pick purple either because it would be too much purple.

mmm, if i had too many japanese names then it'd like all my characters were 'one track' styled charcters, i need a bit of variety
i've done a pic today that i might put up tommorow where the colour scheme is more of a gray and blue ^-^ her scarf is more defined in it, and i didn't do the stupid filling the background in like i did with this one

Yeah....I have gotten into the habit of forcing myself to pick characters from a variety of locations to help prevent that "one-track" style...it's so easy to slip into that pattern.
