I stumbledand walked a little more,
You smiled but turned your head.
I opened my mouth and began my confession,
"Hi Kyle, I'm Emma,"
We immediately locked gazes and you smiled,
My heart fluttered and my insides almost burst.
I stumbled upon the next words,
Knowing they were doomed from the start,
"Hey, look, I'm sorry about what happened on the bus yesterday."
You mouthed 'it's alright'
I felt the blush creeping,
"I'm the one that gave you the bracelet, so I just wanted to tell you, I like you, so yeah."
And that was it.
Your smile widened by the slightest inch, and I swerved to run back to my friends.

You didn't even voice what you wanted to say.
You just nodded, smiled (so unlike you) and mouthed the words 'it's ok' over and over.
