Not the best Merlin I've ever drawn.... but it's not the worst either
So.... I drew this, as well as John Watson and Anthony Warlow for one of my best friends (~MuffinBuns ) for her birthday... and me being the procrastinator that I am started it the night before her party
3 portraits in 11 hours.... I have no idea how I did it 
or how they turned out looking somewhat like themselves!! Magical things happen in the early hours of the morning... I think Merlin had something to do with it.... 
He looks a bit girly.... but he kinda looked a bit girly in the reference pic.... so yeah..... I suspect it's a combination of the eyes and lips being a bit too big.... but I had time restraints so I couldn't really try to fix it
It still looks alright I think...I ran out of time on the hair and his clothes... and his hand.... but it looks passable...
except for the hand..... curse you hands for being so hard to draw!! 
I seemed to have a complete mental blank when I chose the reference picture.... completely forgot my suckiness at drawing hands 
Anyways, I hope you peoples like it

I think it's fantastic! I hate to say it but I've seen the reference pic and yeah, he looks a bit girly there so I don't think that's your fault. It's not that hard to make him look girly, he is an awfully PRETTY man. I think his chin is what saves him from looking feminine most of the time. He has a good strong chin. Otherwise, he has some very delicate features, stunningly beautiful, but in some lights, not the most masculine looking man.
It's only in stills though, I think the way Colin moves is very masculine so balances out the fine features of his face. And though slim, he isn't built at all like a girl, so that helps too!

Wow! This is really good! Haha, magical things always do happen in the morning. XD It's the fact that you're probably still supposed to be sleeping, or that you're to tired and don't really know why you attempt to draw that early in the morning, but then POOF awesomeness comes out haha.
