Name: AmeliaAffiliation: Autobot
Alternate Mode: Racing Plane
Bot Weaponry: Giant Throwing Star
Vehicle Mode Weaponry: None
I've had this character stuck in my head for the past few days, so, i just had to draw her so I could get on with my life. For some reason, I thought a transformer that throws its own propeller like a ninja star wouls be totally awesome. I know that in TFA, the only flying autobots are supposed to be the jet twins, but, c'mon, they're just so annoying, they talk like retards and their vehicle/combined vehicle/combined bot mode just looks like crap taped togather.
I really have no ideas for this chick's story, I figure she's some kind of scout, and kind of a tomboy. I pretty much directly based her vehicle mode on a Gee Bee Sportster. Also, there is no way this transformation would ever work, maybe I'll re-visit her later, give hare a proper bot mode.

P.S. I was looking through dA at other people's TFA OCs to get ideas, and, recoloring an existing character like starscream or bumblebee and giving it a girl face does not equal an original character. Design your own damn transformers, that the fun part.

Those rivets on her faceplate resemble freckles; cool idea. With her speed, she might be a decent scout/recon specialist.

hey, in transformers, repaints work wonders! look as the seekers in the actual transformers world, there is a shit ton of them and there all the same robot! or bubmlebee, cliffjumper, wasp, glyph and many others and there all in animated.
and to be honest, while your character is awesome! and i truly mean that she is very original, but paint her purple and give her a mans head and youve got G2 ransack (animated-ifyed)

I'm not criticizing Hasbro repainting their own guys, I'm referring to people designing their own transformer OCs by recoloring a licensed character. Its lazy and lame.

And I don't think a transformation from her would be totally out of the question. She looks like she could somehow fold into her alt-mode.

An Transformer based off Amelia Earhart... that is just SO DAMN COOL CHIEF! She looks really great, and I love that she transforms into a plane that's not a military super jet. I love them, but there's a lot, and seeing her plane form is kinda refreshing.

I'm sure they'd have other skills to make up for thier alt modes but I guess you're right, D-cons are just way too powerful

You know I'd imagine it'd be incredibly hard to make a transformer OC since you have to figure out how to properly transition them from vehicle to kickass robot. So props for that bro. I dig the old school look she's got going on. :>

LOL, what a great idea, I'm surprised it was never done before. I like that her helmet resembles goggles, thats cool. But I think you should change her name to Earhart (but have it spelled Airheart) that to me sounds more like a TF name (it would look good on the toy packaging too) Have you ever seen superstar Transformers artist Don Figueroas work? The man can take any object, give it a robot mode, and makes sure it Transforms properly. You should check him out for ideas on transforming.

I actually came really close to naming her Airheart, but, I dunno, I know its a historical name and all, but, by itself it just sounded too... Mary Sue-ey to me. She just looked more like an "Amelia" to me.
Maybe she'll get some weapon upgrades and scan a fighter plane, and be "re-born" as Airheart. But, right now she's just a "kid." (I have no idea if transformers can be kids)
I checked out that guy's art. It is awesome, and now I should just give up drawing transformers, because nothing can compare to that. Dammit! Why can't I be awesome with a subject I've draw twice!

That's cool man, she's a great character and concept nonetheless. As far as I know Transformers can be teenagers but not children. In the G1 show they showed Optimus and some other Autobots when they were in their "teen" years (since they live so long I can only assume that they were teens)
Yeah, Don Figueroa makes me wish I could see the Transforming potential of any object like he does and than draw a detailed pic of how it Transforms in one mode and how it would have looked back on Cybertron. Which begs the question: How would have Crash and Amelia looked on Cybertron? And did you ever read Tranformers: The War Within, when they showed how the Dinobots looked before they got to Earth?

Oh man, I have no idea what their cybertron modes would look like. I don't know much about cybertronian vehicles, though, whenever I do see a cybertron mode vehicle, it really just looks like whatever kind of space vehicle the artist felt like drawing. Maybe Cash would be some kind of 4-legged tank/walker thing like: [link] (I know, the example is made out of legos, but, you can see what I'm getting at.) And Amelia would probably be some cute, stubby jet or spaceship.
I saw the War Within Grimlock, just a gnarly tank thing. I like earth mode transformers better, because they look like more of a challenge to design smoothly, a lot more liberties can be taken with cybertronian tech, since its made up anyway, and we have no point of reference. "So what if the helicoptor has an arm sticking out of it, its from cybertron things are different there."
