Description Upload number 5 from Marwell, and we're back to Akin, the male Amur Leopard. I think he posed like this for 5 seconds, at exactly the same time I got up to walk around to Ascha (the female). This was a sort of 'dive in and shoot' sort of shot, so i'm not 100% happy on the composition (which I think a certain Alannah Hawker will point out )

Anyway, enjoy

As someone pointed out in one of my earlier uploads, there are only 30 of these beautiful cats left in the wild... and all for rugs... Sometimes human beings disgust me.

I also apologise for not answering many messages today, I have really a bad migraine so constantly looking at the dA screen hurts :/ I'll get to it ASAP

I must say that the point i love about this one is the way that the pattern of the fur takes up the whole image it seems very odd in a way i dunno how to explain it, i just love the fur!

Say I was wondering if you've got a higher resolution picture of one of these great cats? I want to try and do a detail of the eyes mostly but when I try to blow this up it pixels too badly to get the details

Hmm. I can see what I can do. If you send me a note with your email address in, then I can send you the original files (which are about 2000/3000 Px long), but unfortunately some of the resolution is lost due to the high ISO I had to use. Luckily i'm getting a new camera body soon that should stop that!

Of course you can. I'd love for it to be used for a cause like that. As for credit, my Amur photos are now donated to ALTA for their publications and stuff, so could you include them too?
