"THORN!" Tower bellowed as he finally caught up with the small Scorpion lieutenant. Honestly, the short little bugger could run like a damn jackrabbit!

"I said go get your squad geared up. I'm launching in five, Tower."

"WHERE, McGowan?!"

"Colorado." Thorn called over his shoulder as he finally came to a stop outside the launching bay doors. Tower pulled his lips over his teeth and jumped on his chance.

The big blonde's right hand grabbed hold of Thorn, and in a move that he would ordinarily not have done to an ally, he spun Thorn around by the neck and slammed his back into the launching bay doors.

"WHAT the hell is going ON, McGowan. TALK to me! Bowser's going to want answers from me if I'm mobilizing the squad to move!"

Thorn grunted as he was pressed back against the wall, but his eyes, normally an icy blue, were now as cold as the snows up in the Colorado mountains. "Labs. Konta. Your girl was in Vincent's Bunker a little before she left, don't you recall?" He reached up and swatted Tower's hand away from his throat.

"Yeah, I remember." Tower grumbled.

"You remember her brother Martin?"

"Yes."

"Well, happens that her brother... was killed trying to keep HIS brother from BEING killed." Thorn jabbed a hand at the controls on the launching bay doors. "So if your girl went bull charging into one of Konta's bases, Ricochet went charging in after her once he realized what she was up to."

He shot Tower a look. "No time for gum flapping, Ranger. Get your ass back to your Captain and get your squad in the air. My pilot will send you the navigational coordinates when we're off the ground."

"WHY couldn't you just spit that out in the first place!" Tower complained as Thorn was pushing his way in between the opening launch bay doors.

"Because I DONT have time to flap my gums on this one! These people have been systematically killing off his entire family line for twenty years." Thorn retorted as he was getting himself geared up. When Tower just stood there trying to digest what the man had said, McGowan narrowed his blue eyes and in the next moment Tower suddenly had a ball of spitfire and nitro in his face as the small Scorpion lieutenant grabbed hold of his shirt collar and pulled him down to his level so he could bark right in his face.

Sure, it was a tactic he'd learned from Shun to use on Matthew for when he went a little too wolf to respond to normal human commands... but it would work just as well if not better on a completely normal human being, too.

"I SAID, get your ass MOVING, soldier! Now GIT!" And Thorn gave him a sharp push and shove backward before he snapped around on his heels and started barking out orders to the black-and-red clad Scorpions that were filtering into the launch bay.

Tower blinked at him - but then he spun about on his heels and headed back up the corridors. He wasn't even two steps away from the Scorpion's launch bay before he was on the comms with Bowser. They had a problem.
