Description
This is the first and last revision of this picture. The original had a few leaves that were poking into the bottom right that started to get at me so I decided it was a good enough reason to take them out.Taking out the leaves is the only thing I've done to this pic (other than the border). I haven't touched the contrast or colors as I think there is no need to.
Hope you enjoy, the original pic is in my scraps section.

Nice piece - I like the lighting work and the colour in particular! However, it seems a little overbright at the bottom, or was that the intention?

interesting shot. i had to read some of your replies to other comments to figure out how you did it. the flash on the leaf has a really interesting effect since the background is pretty dark still. at first i thought it was floating on water (which would be cool too). i like the blurry background thought too. nicely done

actually the leaf is still attached to the bush so, it's more of a creative shot than pure fluke

Whew, now this is a shot I can really appreciate! It's such a large, harsh focal point, but the soft background compensates for the huge impact you've made with this shot. Beautiful contrast and great colours, this is definitely a favourite.

The leaf seems to be glowing from inside, the focus is perfect and very crisp! I'd like the picture to be tilted by 90° to the right, i think that would enhance it very much. well done!

well the only thing that kinda bugs me is the red stem of the leaf it's a bit distracting.

Very nice picture! The perspective is very nice with the blurred trees in the background. With the trees in the background it almost makes it look as though you took this picture as the leaf was falling. The extreme color contrasts also do very well at drawing the viewers attention to all the detail presented in the leaf itself. Great work!
