that's pretty. two things:
1. I think I'm not sure if I understand your pic comment, but.. that's a photo??
2. what's the real size of it?

The actual piece is a painting. To get it on the screen I had to photograph it. The size of the picture is 2 feet by 2 feet square,

Hmm...my comment didn't go through yesterday.
Well, here it is again, to the best of my memory:
I like the colors on this, even if they aren't the same as on the original, and the little bits of newspaper add nice touches here and there.
But what'd you use the tissue paper on? I can't figure it out.

The tissue paper is layered under the paint. You can see it by the squares of changing aqua color in the upper left, and by the uneven, oil-paint quality of the solid paint elsewhere. It's just a fun way to create background textures. The next piece I'm working on shows all this a lot more clearly.

Ah thank you very much!
I'm sort of itching to re-upload a version that doesn't look quite as orange, however. Because every artist must be at least moderately obsessive-compulsive.

I don't think the picture/quality/colors look bad at all, but I know what you mean when what appears on the screen just doesn't do the real life object justice. Blah. But, since I haven't seen the original, this one still gets an A+! I like it very much. Very whimiscal and fun.

Oh, thanks so much! Yeah, the most common problem with real-to-digital conversion is that our eyes see many more colors that can be represented by a computer's RGB spectrum. This is especially true of greens, so whenever I try to photograph something that contains lime+aqua+forest greens, everything just mashes into a sort of boring, swampy consistency that's hard to fix.

Hurrah, I was certainly going for the crazy angle, the lion has some fun detail on him that doesn't show in the photo:
