He is the nameless hero from FFVersusXIII.(Uh, hopefully someone can reconize him, I know I didn't draw him right...zzz)

I can't believe I'm finishing this that quick. Was watching FF7 Advent Children this afternoon, and decided to draw finish up this picture after leaving the sketch for about 3 weeks. First time trying such light effect...I hope it's right...>___<

Done in Open Canvas 4+ and photoshop 7.0.

this, my friend looks awesome! A very different colouring style and awesome bg!!! Has a really cool 3d effect... the right arm seems a bit off though. The hair highlights looks nice!! how did you do the cool effect with whirly light thing?

Oh, that light effect is erm, like this.
1st, draw the light with pale yellow color,
2nd,add motion blur to a direction,
3rd,add outer glow for the layer, then
4th,add another time motion blur to slightly different direction from the previous one...

I hope I didn't forget the procedure, cause I used to do that with my instinct.

outer glow is at the layer box there, you see an 'f' there? click it and choose whatever effect you want.

Motion blur is in filter>blur>motion blur

Erm....I draw out the lights, then use outer glow+motion blur+motion blur+radial blur= the light effect...XD
In short, yes, I use photoshop to make the effect.
