I was admiring this piece earlier in the day, and I have to say that I love this interpretation you did of Gerard. I always think of the word "soft" when it comes to Gerard, even in the early "dark" days of his, and this painting really captures that to me. All the lines are smooth and subtle, and the colors vibrant but not overpowering. My favorite piece of this portrait is his lips; I think you captured them perfectly. You're very talented!
