Laptop mics are fine! I know plenty of UTAUs who's voicers use them. For that type of situations u just have to speak loud and clearly :3

Well I made a voice bank for Jake awhlie back with a computer and i used my computer mic. And noone ever complained ahah XD
And i think Ryone Yami's (tsunyandere's UTAU) CV voice bank was recorded with a computer mic too o3o! And he sounded amazzzinngg! (you should check her out she is an amazing UTAU user and drawer too )
Ahh well Original UTAU designs are better

When you get to the point when you want to record a VCV you should talk to her, or chichizu, or kream-cheese.
But because you are just a beginner you should start out with the original CV! I think they sound a bit better than VCV to tell you the truth
