I’ve had enough of the hate and arguments in TLOU fandom since the DLC dropped so I’m going to add some love to the pile.
Ellie and Riley, two beautiful representations of strong, funny, smart, gay females in video games. Whether you like it or not, Whether you deny it with all your heart, it is what it is.

I hear that thrown around a lot but tropes don't necessarily make it bad, it was a really well done short story and within the setting, death and tragedy was so commonplace it was one of those things to be expected, but it gave a nice little insight into who Ellie is

Every Survivor is haunted by their ghosts. The faces that make them wake up with a gasp, the touch they long for and the remembered voices that force tears past the iron control that lets them endure. Riley was just the first and strongest of the ghosts haunting Ellie.

Hats off to Naughty Dog for having the balls to do what they did with Ellie and Riley. It was a wonderful addition to the game, it added depth and realism, not to mention a whole new level for video games. Great piece of art, I love it!

I don't know what to say. Berneri pretty much summed everything up in the below comments (she was actually the one who made me watch Cry's gameplay videos of TLOU since I don't have an own PS3 and I'm ETERNALLY THANKFUL for her haha)
So yeah. This is amazing as hell. I love Riley and Ellie so much and I've cried over million times because of them. I just.... can't handle all these feels, damn.

Holy mother of God. Do you know what you have done. I have cried THREE TIMES because of this picture. 8D It feels like someone took my soul and hammered it a little bit and then gave it back to me just to TAKE IT AWAY AGAIN. Like Naughty Dog is doing with these games. Holy hell. Just.. just.. DAMN. ;_;
Just let me get this straight: This picture is one of the most impressive and effective TLoU fan arts I have ever seen. And I have seen a lot of pictures from this game. There is just something deep, fragile and incredibly beautiful in this piece of art. Sadness of knowing their story is just making it feel worse. And deeper at the same time. Ugh!
This sketchiness is perfect. It suits for both of the characters. THAT LITTLE BIT OF RED THO. ARGH. MY HEART. They both are looking just.. just.. PERFECT. Sorry that my comment is a mess, I have been thinking about this picture the whole day and I still don't know what to say. Also my English is pretty.. bad at times. So sorry about it too! :'D
But believe me when I say that I love this picture so much. I almost hate it because of the FEELS it's giving to me but love is better word to describe this feeling. Yes.
I am not lying to you when I say that today I cried (with two of my friends whose watched last night when I played DLC for the second time) when listening to Ashley singing "I Want To Hold Your Hand." and then I went to dA and BOOM plumped this picture for everyone to see.
We crashed mentally. So hard. We just sat here, staring at the screen, hearing the music and we just couldn't move.. It was painful but very beautiful moment.
But, oh well. At least your picture made.. huge.. effect. :'D
I love Ellie. And Riley. I love them together. I just love everything about them. Your info summed it up pretty nicely too. So, I think I just say big thank you for making this picture, maybe I shake my fist to you very weakly and send this huge ass virtual hug. Someone needs to start a support group for people who played or watched the last of us ;u; I swear man, I'm still recovering from being heart punched into oblivion.

First of all this is amazing. How you managed to convey the huge message/feels of the entire DLC game in one simple sketch I'll never know. Second of all, thank you to Berneri for putting Ashley's link in to that song- I never knew she had such a beautiful voice, and it was a really amazing experience for me as well to listen to her singing and thinking about this particular picture.
