This is really intriguing. I can feel a whole story behind this. It's horrifying and yet beautiful. It's one of those...I don't know whether I should be rejoicing that the dude is on fire, or whether I need a hose!
The single feathers falling is really powerful.
I do not know whether you have seen the movie Dogma, it is sort of a cult classic here in the states. If you have not, maybe you can find the last 15 minutes of the movie somewhere, and you can see how this reminded me of it. I'm sorry if that seems like a spoiler to a movie! I always hope that people will get involved in a book or movie and forget my comment 
Anyway! The lighting of this is spectacular. I'm definitely creeped out.
