Description
I had posted this image before in the form of "Oni Mystique."However, I have had several people ask me about a background, so I've filled the negative space up with what I believe to be an appropriate mural on the wall beside her.
The background is not my own work, but a famous Edo period painting. I've misplaced the artist's name and I will put it up as soon as I find it. If you happen to know the name of the painter, please let me know.

The background looks like it could be either Hokusai or Hiroshige, who did most of the really famous ukiyo-e pictures.
I do like this integration of the traditional painting and your original work. Very spooky, very evocative of Japanese ghosts in general.

This picture makes me wish I was more versed in eastern mythology, folklore, art, culture, etc. Very beautiful drawing, I like the way the oni fades into the artwork. The shadow is a lovely detail that really draws me in. I can imagine someone sitting somewhere, admiring the piece of art, and then seeing this hauntingly beautiful creature appear, gazing straight at them. I think your piece has a chilling beauty in that way. I'll definitely be

I like hte hair and the stylistic eyes very much. Third eye looks a little higher than most depictions paint it but not unreasonably so. Good work.
