yeah in my town the local hard wear store sells steel plates (usualy for ulus or punnas) for 10 bucks that's like 5 x 12 easy enough to work with I made my first knive (guard to tip) in two days then made an antler handle over night(sanding it to white) and got it pinned by a friend of mine
