YOUNG TEMÜJIN IN FULL ARMOR (1187 AD)
In the age of 26 or 29, Temüjin, son of the murdered Yesügei (major leader of the Mongols) started creating with sword and bow his bloodied path to supreme power. Earlier, by becoming vassal to the Toghrul -leader of the Keraites Mongols- and allied himself with Jamukha, Khan of Jadaran Mongol tribe, he managed to massacre the Merkits who had kidnapped his wife and gain great prestige among the steppe warrior clans. But his ambition to unite the Mongol tribes found opposition by Jamukha and eventually led to other bloody confrontations. Here, Temutzin wearing an upper class lamellar armor suit and having been proclaimed by shamans as a favorite leader of the eternal Sky god Tengri, entered a life of battle and turmoil that ended many years later with his proclamation as sole ruler Khan of the Mongols. After creating a vast empire from Pacific to Caspian sea, he was named “Genghis Khan” (the “oceanic ruler“as most possible translation).I don’t think Genghis Khan needs more introduction…
