Thanx! It's all photoshop!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Thrakks In reply to ChristianNauck [2007-02-09 06:55:33 +0000 UTC]

True cool, may I ask what paintbrush? Just a low opacity hard edge or something custom made?
(Just trying to learn peoples different methods of colouring and see if they aid my own efforts )

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ChristianNauck In reply to Thrakks [2007-02-11 16:02:21 +0000 UTC]

It's all a standard brush. Full opacity, hard edges, and smoothing edges at the end, depending on the pen pressure(plus a bit size-variety). Nothing fancy.

Thrakks In reply to ChristianNauck [2007-02-12 02:18:37 +0000 UTC]

Wow true, sorry I just dont know how you do that great colour and shade blending with full opacity, all pen pressure does with my graphics tablet is change brush size it appears. Thanks for all this replying.

haha...well, you and I are in the same boat my friend...I'm also trying to get the hang of it, and I also never got the feel for painter....

Your doing a bloody good job dude!

How's the Euro book comics coming along? I'm interested in maybe working on one myself...

J.

ChristianNauck In reply to Red-J [2007-02-01 15:36:39 +0000 UTC]

Thanks again, mate!

euro-comics? hm...hard to tell.
My publisher for example is one of the oldest and biggest publishers of germany but they publish only licence-comics from other countries or cross-media comics.(comics based on films, books etc....) Germany is not a good place to be a comic artist.
Currently we have problems to sell my Wave Walker-comics because the comic market is to small and the bookmarket don't wanna put the comics besides the books of Kai Meyer(the author of "the wavewalkers").

As far as I know, the comicmarket in italy and spain is better than in germany but far from the scene in france and belgium. So- if you wanna draw a euro-comic look out for a france publisher.
...don't know very much about it myself...

Red-J In reply to ChristianNauck [2007-02-03 05:18:19 +0000 UTC]

thanks for that....If I did get into it I would almost certainly go with the French guys....I'll have to check it all out some more.
