This is a great shot of a classic Hulk/Thing fight. I love how they're tumbling down the page.
I've always had an issue with Hulk/Thing fights, though. In the Marvel Universe, Hulk has always been established to be SOOOOOOOOO strong and durable beyond anyone else. Thing, on the other hand, is strong but not that strong. A lot of other characters are shown to be much stronger than him. But then for some reason, when these two character's fight one another.... they act like it's an even match. WTF? Hulk should be able to knock Thing out cold with one punch, whereas Thing shouldn't be able to do anything that would really hurt Hulk at all. But I suppose this kind of inconsistency happens ALL THE TIME in comics.

the thing about "The Thing" is he's as strong as he has to be for the situation he finds himself in but if he's forced to do something that requires more strength then is obvious for his size and weight he must strain and push and heave to get the job done. in conclusion, yeah JoshRivoli your more then right about what would happen, i just thought i'd bring it up is all.

this is a fun piece, you found a way to make Ben's rocks work while not changing his contour, very interesting=] Is there any way you could do a step by step of work like this?

So very true. Now Hulk vs Superman would be a slug fest for the ages... and a debate that no one will ever be satisfied with the outcome.

Congratulations on your style. You use something of Cubism in your art. I think it's unintentional, but your art reminds me of the Cubism of Picasso. Arms, legs, trunk and hands...all carved. I really like it!
I am Brazilian, and in my country there is only one man responsible for the assemblage of artists to work for Marvel and DC Comics. The problem is that this guy only forwards to the USA artists who are "friends" or alun him ... and I'm not "friend" or alun him ... So I don't have way of contacting directly with Marvel and DC Comics in USA. Do you have any email of Marvel or DC Comics for help me? I wish I had a oportuniade! Thanks man! See my blog

why is the thing always getting his ass kicked by the hulk. couldn't he just get lucky catch a hulk that's super gassy w/ intestinal problems? poor ben, he needs to find a magic rock or gem that will amp up his powers for a minute or two.
great looking piece btw.

Hehe, I think Ben actually beat him one time when Hulk was sick or weak. Can't remember. It may have been during the weaker grey Hulk stories a while back.

No kidding, this is one of the best versions I've seen of the Hulk in years. I prefer the classic look to the overly muscled steroid Hulk that Marvel currently back. He should be just a big mountain of a person. But still a person. Not a veiny Godzilla.
The Hulk's face is fantastic here. His eyes, cheek bones and teeth really make the image. And the grey-scale is gorgeous.
Stellar work, bud.

Me too. Never liked all that homo-erotic veiny shit from the 90's. I always prefered the Hulk as a 50's / 60's atomic monster B-Movie style.
