I saw this Self Portrait contest and figured I'd give it a try, which also was the perfect excuse to let me show my mug around DA again I'm not sure if I have a chance at winning, the samples to get contestants going seemed pretty high-quality, but oh well, I still made something that will be a breath of fresh air to some of my watchers, and maybe a disappointing surprise for others (don't worry, I've already started on something cooler)

I personally like such styled artworks like this, the mixed media consisting of vector art, photomanipulation and perhaps even a bit of digital painting, This might seem a bit Cliche to some, But keep in mind that I havn't done anything like this before, so it was a slow process with a lot of experimentation (I spent an hour needlessy trying to decide on a colour scheme, I liked aqua best)

There IS a bit of actual concept here though, not just another mindless self-portrait that we get a lot of here. I have always been just a bit ignorant of my realistic surroundings on a daily basis (how many artists are the same though?) It's not normally a good thing I guess, but letting my mind go off into my own universe still helps me keep my sanity, I see art and creativity in many things most "normal people" look past, and it can be a little abstract at times - Ahh, they just don't see things from my point of view, they're missing out
