Description
The circle of lifeMy interpretation of the film The Lion King. I know a lot of you chose Scar as the best Disney Villain, so I thought it would be great to do my own sunrise (in my lips,lol!)
I used brown, red, orange, gold and yellow pigments, gold glitter and liquid eyeliner for the Rafiki's tree.

Firstly, I'm a huge fan of your work. Secondly, the tree is absolutely brilliant (but you already know that). But another point of brilliance is the sun on the lower lip, a different shade adding dimension and shape. I appreciate the lack of color on the upper lip, bringing more attention to the lower. It appears that the sun might have smeared a bit onto the top? Also, the fading around your lips is always a beautiful effect you have in your pieces. Please continue your beautiful work, and never shy away from that glitter! (how on earth do you keep it out of your teeth?)

I would have been super impressed if this was actually done with makeup, but it looks too Photoshop-ed to be believable. The outer edges of the lips are too faded, and the inner edges of the lips are rough rather than seamless. You can also see where the texture is missing, on the lower right edge of the bottom lip, where the image was blended. I do, however, give you credit for the use of color and the idea in general. The shining flecks also adds a nice touch and I like that the tree is black to match the sunrise theme.

Great job, and keep it up! You see very few works like these, so detailed they look fake! But they are REAL as real can be You are very talented. the colours are so.. vibrant. It looks like the set in the movie! Great glitter placement, the colours merge perfectly, The light shade of skin and the white teeth also make the color really pop! If other people learn to do this yours will still be the most spectacular! I've seen other lip close ups and this one takes the cake! Very original!

Great appearence, great coloring, glitter placement, and great vision to how it would look like if it was, well, on lips. I especially love the tree on there. Overall, amazing representation!! I actually love how you were inspired to put it in makeup. I would've never even known this was possible if this type of art came along. Whatever got you inspired to do this, tell me. I really want to know. It is totally awesome! I want to try this sometime soon too!!!

Every time one of these works appears on the front page, it grabs my attention almost immediately. The colors are always so vibrant, yet delicate at the same time. There are those few works that look so well done that they look fake, and this is one of them! You'd think it's Photoshopped because of the intricate eyeliner details, but no! That just adds to the stunning impact of the photograph! Very few people are talented with makeup in this way, and it always manages to catch your eye.
The colors used in this particular piece remind me of a fire more than anything, and the close up shot really lets you see all the color hues. The light shade of skin and the white teeth also make the color really pop!
Great job, and keep it up! You are very talented!

I'm gonna comment on this (I think again?) and say that I love coming to my profile and seeing this photo on my Faves. It's been a few years now, and it always brightens my day. This was so creative, and you really captured both the colour scheme of the movie and the animation style of that tree. I can't imagine how much focus it took to get that right.
