You know, people might disagree with me, but I think that comics like these really help to understand the situation.
If you can combine your fandom with important (international) news and reach out to more people, then all's well, right? I can't see how people would find this offensive. To me, you did a good job.
Although I did frown at myself for liking the fact that France and the UK were quick to team up regarding the no-fly zone. I read it in the paper, thought "Ahohohon~!, did François feed Iggy drunk again? They don't get along usuall- oh my god, shut up, you twat, this is real life, people are dying and you're comparing it to an anime?! I hate you so much", then whacked myself for thinking about it and finally went on to think about how important it is for people to actually know what's going on in the world, so we can all help each other in hard times.
Ehhh /rant. Sorry. Long story short: Good job on these! Looking forward to more. β«

Yes I think they would- lots of people don't read that far past the front-page headlines. It also got me to do some research and underestand things myself more thoroughly than I would have XD
