Description This is something I put together for my summer sketchbook assignment. We picked words out of a hat that would serve as our theme, and I picked the word "lightbulb". Well, there's plenty more to come in the future... just be patient xD

how's your sketchbook coming along? Your word was pocket, right?

Hmm, it's getting somewhere. I think I'm thinking WAY to literal. Like, pocket watch was the first thing I drew. haha

Hey Christina I'm going to ask you question. What exactly is due the first day we come back?

oh that's ok! Sometimes being literal helps get the brain juices flowing and makes you more confident. Don't worry about it too much. Just be open-minded and try new things! I think it'd be cool if you actually made a pocket out of cloth or paper and connect it to your sketchbook...

And for AP, we just need the 50 page sketchbook and then possibly a breadth piece.

I was thinking that! I was also thinking about drawing "Pocket yorkies". Haha, they are so tiny you can fit them in a pocket!

Okay I'm on the search for that sketchbook that you bought. Right now, I'm just drawing on separate pieces of paper instead of a sketchbook. x(

Oh only one? And the piece is just a random, finished piece right? Sorry for the many questions. I just don't want to mess up!

Yeah! Just keep those ideas rolling!
And did you check at Barnes and Nobles? They have them close to the register. Or ask an employee where they keep the moleskine notebooks and they'll show you. (You don't HAVE to get that kind. They're just convenient if you want to spread a drawing onto two pages) If you like ordering online, you can go to moleskine.com too and order some. They're a bit pricey in my opinion, but I like them. It just depends on what you prefer. I get the plain blank pages. They also have sketchbook kinds that have thicker paper but they cost more and are usually hardback.
And I'm pretty sure if you get one piece done you'll be in good shape. One or two would be good. I need to start working on that too... haha
ok. i'm done.

thank you so much! It took me a really long time to get his face shape right haha. And I'm glad you recognized my handwriting. I didn't want to use a font

Haha, well it was definitely time well spent!
Your handwriting is better than any font you could have used.

This is so cool! I love the whole 50's look with the tilted geometric shapes! I've always loved that style. You know with the pastel colors and stars. ^^ Haha idk
