Neither can live while the other survives...I have fallen Way in love with this ship, thanks to Numerous fanfictions, at the forefront, "The Fox and the Stag" series by KaedeRavensdale on AO3
Still working on the sketch and atmosphere but I like the bare bones.... One of my OTPs.... Tom has the Gaunt/Peverell Ring, if you could see Harry's neck, he would be wearing the Slytherin Locket...

I guess I just never used pure black as a color and went for a lighter "Black" to shade

I don't either as it ends up messing with skintones too much. I usually use dark blues or purples instead :3

Never thought of using purple before. I'll have to try that out at some point. I tended to tint it blue for people on land and teal/green for people under water. Pure black definitely seems to drain some color from skin tones.

It works though I use it more for demons pretending to be human. Never really tried underwater art but the using teal tint is brilliant...
And it does. It's one of many reasons I shy away from black lineart, even if that means sketchy blue/purple or occasionally rainbow lineart

It's really easy. You either paint the rainbow on a layer above your merged lines/sketch and make it a clipping group or lock your lineart layers pixels and paint over the original color
