How did you get it printed onto glass? Was it a company or did you print it yourself?

How is it possible to print something on glass?! Shouldn't it shatter to pieces from all the pressure when you try to print something on it?

Did you get this through Fracture? (They sponsor a lot of the tech podcasts I listen to.)

Well, this appeared on EQD and I couldn't resist coming back to it. <3 Such a gorgeous piece, and every morning I wake up to the sun shining right through it! Hope to see more like these in the future b/c I'd totally buy another one cough cough

I’m still figuring out whether it’d be worth printing any more of these—but thank you so much again, gosh. I’m so glad that it found a good home, and I’m so glad it’s somewhere where the sunlight shines through.

This looks beautiful and it's totally something I'd love to have but (and please don't let this seem rude, I'm just curious) is it legit stained glass? Like, you cut the pieces out of a lot of different glass and soldered them together legit? Don't get me wrong, if that's the case, you're freaken pro but if not, I'm just not understanding how you pulled it off. Either way, it looks great!

Ah, gosh, my apologies for the confusion. As the title and description say, this is a glass print of the digital painting that is linked to within the description (Secreta Altare Window 1: Celestia ), rather than true, traditional stained glass.
My impression is that my supplier uses some proprietary combination of inks and laser-etching, but I’m uncertain about the specifics. I certainly do not wish to trivialize the craft of traditional stained-glass artistry, which is astounding, very hard, and very tedious work.
Again, I’m sorry for the confusion; I’ve appended a note to the description clarifying all this further. Thank you for looking.

This looks nice. Is it constructed with actual stained glass by soldering together little pieces or is it a print of the original work on a piece of glass so the light can shine through?

Ah, thank you—it’s not traditional stained-glass art, but a print of the digital painting linked to in the description. But thank you very much again.

I am wondering which one your "next convention" will be at...
Could you give us the dimensions of this?

Cigitia In reply to kingofraggedy [2015-05-27 15:17:44 +0000 UTC]
My next convention will be at Everfree Northwest this weekend:
Everfree Northwest 2015, Booth 42If you’re in the Seattle, Washington area from May 29–31, I will be selling at the convention Everfree Northwest. If you will be in the area and would like to bring any of my art home with you, I will be selling at Booth 42: paper prints, metal buttons, translucent plastic window vinyls that you can stick to your window and let the Sun’s light shine through, and two special glass prints. Hope to see you there!
Gosh, it’s been a long time. The past year of school has been even more grueling than I expected, probably the most in my entire life, with no free time. But I do have much more free time now, and I’ve already gotten started drawing again. It feels like an old friend.
Thanks for all of your patience, gosh. Let’s all not stop creating.
