Description This is Franci Kek. He is very very well known in Slovenia. (politician, actor, comedian, organizer of one big rock festival ...)
He was a very wild and mad photographer...almost like a cowboy that day.
This picture is part of a series actually... which was exhibited at final exhibition of Fotopub.
I worked with Canon digital 20D and Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 as always.

this is a brilliant idea!
it might have been even better if the camera would use the timer and not be visible in the picture

but that's just an idea
well done!

The picture looks great. But I don't get one thing... You took a picture of this guy or you / he photographed your- / him-self? The thing is that a picture looks as if he was aiming down, straight to the puddle with his camera while the guy in the reflection is actually aiming straight with his camera... I'm confuzed @_@\
Anyway, cheers from Poland also

nice shot! i wonder how u hid yourself from the reflection. I used to own that Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 before it was stolen. Great lens it was.

Brilliant- I love the way that the reflection gives such a strong impression of character and personality even without any recognisable features showing. Very strong, and the b&w works perfectly.

The only thing I can think of is having a camera around your neck with a self-timer.

I'm thinking of getting a telephoto f/2.8 lens soon, but I'm unsure. I'm switching all my film gear from Minolta to Nikon, to be able to use my lens' with my digital and film SLRs. How do you like the Sigma, mate?

sigma is crap but awesome at the same time... you should try it...

95101 In reply to Ciril [2006-08-16 20:48:55 +0000 UTC]

I just bought a 24mm 2.8 from Sigma...seems fine but focuses very very slow. It didn't cost that much, so we'll see if it pays it's worth back.

besides technically intriguing, it is very well executed, love it!

i always regret when i don't capture moments like this, that stand out from the "academic" stuff, in film.

what camera was he using?
