Is any one confused on how the winkies are middle eastern even though they're supposed to be based of off normal American workers and were supposed to have lighter skin and yellow clothing

More or less. I have to be honest, I didn't bother going back to the book to check out eye or hair colors, but they should not be too far from what you find in the novels.

Wicked it is my favorite book, but I have to admit I really didn't like the sequels. Although I did love the character of Liir. The musical is only good if you take it in a different context then the book. Only one comment, even in the book, Glinda is the Witch of the North. She is only the witch of the South in the Original Wizard of Oz. Nessarose was suppose to be the witch of the South, until Elphaba went East and abandoned her family duty.
