-I'm ready to go, lead me into the light.-

It was odd; not breathing, not smelling or feeling touch. All she felt was the weakness overcoming her with each second she wasted searching. There were many colors, and none at all. It was the most confusing thing she could imagine but the most sense anything has made, and she wouldn't be able to describe it if she tried.

If she got out.

She sensed others around her, but none where who she was looking for, she was thankful for the relic she carried as she recalled the instructions she was given.

"Why do I need to take this?" she had asked and held up the upside down ankh, having used the relic for the last months to hide her presence.
"If dey see you, you die," the shaman had replied as he readied the ritual.

She had thought his warning to be blunt, but as she traveled through the spirit pane she knew that the other hostile spirits didn't appreciate trespassing. The warning had been just and useful and she made sure the relic was wrapped securely around her wrist.

"You're not getting her out?" Ren had gawked with surprise when the shaman laughed when she asked how he would do it.

"No, I only get de body ready for de soul and give you the tools you need ta get her out. Be weary.. if you take too long your body will die," the draik had replied.

Then he had placed his clawed hand over her eyes, and she felt a blinding pain raise in her neck and cheeks, only to find herself somewhere she had never imagined she would visit while still 'living.' Ren wasn't sure how much time she had, but finding the soul in time was crucial.

The problem was, the relic that was keeping her safe from the hostiles, was also hiding her from the soul she needed to find. How would she knew which one was the correct one?

The weakness that grew weighed on her heavier and heavier, where it felt her essence was sinking in a vast, deep ocean. She nearly completely passed the familiar feeling, pausing in the swirling mass of colors, light, and shadows to consider if she had found who she was looking for.

".. Luna?" She had asked, wondering if she had really spoke, or how it had sounded.

The darkness hadn't replied at first, but the voice that broke through sounded confused and distant.

"Ren? What are you.." the familiar voice had said, filling Ren with renewed hope.

"I found you! You need to come with me!" It was easy to see her now, almost as if playing hide and seek, and looking around the right corner. Her mother couldn't see Ren, though, and looked unsure and cautious.

"I can't see you," Sasha had replied, filled with suspicion. This world had been filled with deceit, cheats, and pain. This could very well be just another lie.

Ren tried reaching out to her, but found that she was nearly too weak to move, her best effort was reaching an arm forward.

"You have to trust me, reach out and I'll grab you. If you don't, I'll die." Or at least that's what she was told, and what she was feeling.

After months of not being able to see Ren, Sasha had to trust the voice in the darkness. She wouldn't let Ren die. She did as her daughter told her and reached out. The suspicion filled with surprise as she felt a hand grip her forearm, and she mimicked the gesture.
