I almost considered entering this into the Weekly Theme, then decided I was happy enough with it on my own and didn't want my work to be compared on a scale with others. That, and I saw ~2B2H 's entry.

EDIT: Yet another piece I'm very surprised with how well it was accepted. I almost didn't even post it.

I never before classed myself alongside those who, in horror films, always go exploring the haunted house. I must be getting incautious - reminds me of a line in Stephen King's 'The Dark Half' - "Old cops, bold cops but no old bold cops"

I'm weirded out that people have liked this one. I didn't think it was too great and also felt it was rather redundant considering it's the same as Carbon.

I wouldn't have known that! Personally, I find this type of fractal hard to produce. Maybe others do too, which is why it got more attention? Dunno. But whatever the reason, it's a good 'un and deserves attention
