Image commissioned by new finnish sensation band Battle Beast. It's pure old school epic fantasy with a little something else...The new record will simply be entitled βBattle Beastβ and is set for a release via Nuclear Blast on May 17, 2013.

Lions VS Robots, I'd put my money on the lions from the look of it
Awesome job, just listened to a bit of Battle Beast and this cover art work perfectly with their music style
Love the design of the lion people, the fact they were little and such simple armour and fight with just blades just radiates badass (plus that is a good angle on the female cat 
Robots are cool too, no two look the same, and the background just makes the whole piece that much better. The chaotic architecture of the towers and the black stormy skies completes this sci-fi/fantasy warzone atmosphere
As a strange coincidence I was thinking of an original novel that involved cat-people who only used melee weapons also fighting robots (amongst other things)
I guess great minds think alike, good work
