Fo sheezy...I was thinking about selling an organ for one, but I actually had someone convince me that for what I do - the 5D is more than adequate....but I've never shot a MarkII...are you yearning - is it worth it? Oh, and thanks for dropping by my infant's blog...it's a father's indulgence, to be sure....

no no.. looking for a yashica point and shoot film.. they are rare and kind of a cult fav because of the good glass and top viewfinder. so they run for ~$200-400 so I hear. I have yet to get into rangefinders but I'm sure I will get there eventually.
the 1Ds Mark II is a brilliant camera but I'd imagine the 5D would be plenty good for you.. as it is also a very fine piece of equipment and full-frame as well. I think I'm going to wait until the next crop of models before I get a full-frame (mostly out of force because I can't afford one anyway

Yeah, I know what you mean...I bought a 20D after using a 10D a lot for working and then low and behold the 5D came out and now I look at my 20D and wonder why I bothered. the full frame is nice...
you mean the one with the zeiss lens then - I've heard of those......I think a rangefinder is ideal for the street - the original explosion of that style was made possible by early leicas. I don't know what I'm going to buy next to satiate the terrible urge to collect more gear. I did just bid on some box camera from the 20s that takes 120 roll film....I figure I can spend ten bucks like that now and again....
