One more page of out of context fighting then I will go back to drawing the boring, stereotypical opening to any red/blue nuzlocke...
RULES:
1. Set on.
2. Capture only first Pokemon in each area.
a) No catching duplicates.
b) Evolution lines are not considered duplicates if a dead Pokemon didn't evolve.
c) No catching over world Pokemon (legendary, snorlax, etc)
d) Area defined by town map. Cave levels don't count.
e) Safari game restricted to 4 catches.
3. If a Pokemon faints it's dead.
4. Randomized starter: 1-3 grass, 4-6 fire, 7-9 water. 0 means I choose.
5. No buying items, except for Pokeballs. All items on ground may be used. (Blue run only).

I love the way you illustrated the rules of the nuzlocke. Not only is this a beautiful work of traditional media but it is even scripted well and there isn't too much text going on to distract from the art. Wow. Honestly wow I really don't understand how this doesn't have more readers.

Thanks Earlgrey, I had a lot of fun with these earlier rules pages. This comic is still rather new, the last 16 pages were all done within around a month and a half. So I guess people just haven't seen it, or are turned away by one thing or another in the opening. Glad you took the time to comment and read though it really keeps me excited to keep working when I know some people are enjoying it.

Basically this means I can't catch 2 of any of the same species. So if I run into a pidgey on route 2 and then another pidgey in route 1 I have three more encounters to get something new. If I run into a caterpie on route 2 and a metapod in viridian forest then I have to catch both.

Yeah, so if I run into my second wild pidgey then I get to try 3 more times for a random encounter in that route.. If I get 3 pidgeys in a row then my catch for that route is forfeit.
So route 1 - catch a pidgey
Route 2 - 1st encounter = pidgey, 2nd encounter = pidgey, 3rd encounter = pidgey, route 2 is a no catch and I move on.

Uhhh, I actually don't know! I have wanted to ask the same question a few weeks ago... since I've done a lot of pages with the potential for them. I'm going to assume not, just give the person you cameo a message saying you've done it and a link to the page so they are aware. No publicity is bad publicity I assume!
