I hate people and organizations who are so greedy (and this is a form of greed) that they feel they own the rights to any photos of their building or whatever. If it's open to the public, or viewable from public spaces, then there should be no restrictions on photography of the subsequent use of those photos. Besides, whoever owns this station now had no part in its construction or the fact that it is a beautiful space. At most, they did a nice job preserving it. They should be proud to have it photographed. And if they forbid photography for security reasons, they are fools...

I've heard that tripods aren't allowed in Grand Central Terminal in NYC.

That figures. Its just one of the most beautiful interior spaces in the US. Certainly its my favorite. Don't know why I never shot it when I could have.
