DOWNLOAD This painting was intended to be viewed at 1600width!Oli: "Azz, I think Luna has him distracted! Let's go hide."
This is my entry for the contest
I first fell in love with Dam's adorable angry chibi face and new he had to be in there. Then when I finished the character relations, I knew exactly what to do! (Character Relationship Guide! )
So to explain: Luna (female drow), Azzedar (half-elf), and Olivia/Olivier (girl in the front) have an accidental run-in with Damarthe (male drow) who is Luna's lover but wants to kill her friends (Azz and Oli). So she tries to seduce him in order to distract him and I think its working! xD But secretly I think she is amused. Oli is supposed to be a princess who disguises herself as a boy and I had intended to make her a little more boyish looking but I ended up with this xD
I worked so hard on this, so I really hope you guys like it!! Everyone just check them out PLEASE because they are so awesome and I LOVE their characters and stories! I just wish... that I could be apart of their adventures too T^T
I did not use any references except for character references listed below. The entire scene is from my head inspired by hours of fave-raping and otherwise obsessing over their work!

The level of detail in this is absolutely ASTOUNDING. Seriously. I mean the wee fox hanging out in the shade of the trees, looking almost like he's not really there along with the light filtering through the trees just completes the scene and makes it feel very alive. Olivia's eyes are just so beautiful, I can't stop staring at them! The colors you've used here make everything pop but also feel very natural, its all just amazing work.
Your texture work is still wonderful, and the perspective of olivia turning was done VERY well. You should be damn proud of this bby!

Somehow, I wish I could go into more detail but my limited experience just doesn't allow me to SEE! Haha, you know I always have to add some kind of sneaky creature in there 
You know, I was most worried about the colors and now looking at it after a couple weeks, I think I could have worked on a bit of the color blending and shadows a bit more. Someday I will get it I guess.
Ah yay! I was happy about Oli's perspective and tilt. I wondered if anyone noticed. But I believe body language explains a lot in an illustration!

Stunning. I don't even know if what I could say is good enough for this. You created ambiance, atmosphere, tension. There's a lot to look for and it's not even cluttered. The lighting looks great, like it really is coming through the canopy. It's illuminated to imply that it's day, but not as if the trees were bare.
That situation is also very interesting. Since I don't know any better, it looked to me as if the dark elf lady intends to take the sword from the man she's on and then unleash some sort of surprise. You also get a feeling of how dangerous things can be about now, but probably more than I think.
I love the subtle rays of light coming from above as well as the specks (no better word in store for that now) that are in the air. It adds so much to everything. There's even a little wildlife to observe. It's lively and fantastic and eye catching and well made and a deserves a few run-on sentences.

I always wanted to do streams of light coming through the forest canopy. I grew up with it and I always found it enchanting - most especially the dust and particles that you can see because they are hit by those beams. And art that successfully showed this was always very inspiring. It was fun to attempt. Its good to hear someone likes the atmosphere - my dad saw it and said he didn't like it - didn't get it but I chose to not care.
No Luna has no such intentions, unless its to cut off his straps so she could get him nekid. What I meant for it to convey is that she was subtly stopping him from unsheathing. Its hard to see - thank god - but his right arm is reaching for it (so both arms are reaching for a weapon). She isn't trying to force him, she is trying to persuade him. Force may only be met with resistance. Therefore her arm and hand is loose and gentle.
Haha, the fox does indeed steal the show

Faces and clothes are my favorite things to paint!! <3 Actually a couple people asked me about the gold braces and I think I might do a little guide to show how I do it. Its actually really simple

Hey, it wasn't easy! Before I used to think of the idea of a bg as really difficult but once you get the hang of it it becomes a lot easier. I have my 3DS Colors!3d to thank for the practice. Its pretty much all I do on it. Of course I have done was forests and beaches and one cliff/waterfall thing but it was not a success. Just do and you get the hang of it! An important thing of course is that you really got to push yourself to finish - I know I have that problem all of the time and it was leading me nowhere.
