I wanted to test doing images and scenes in black and white, so yeah this is a test, I'd be really grateful if you let me know how it turned out, or how I could improve on it.Related content

I did consider it, but there is a lot of work I'd have to do if I was even going to attempt, so maybe, but not in the near future.

Hmm, since I can't make a legitamate critique, due to my membership running out a few eeks ago, I'll just post what I probably would have said here. Wow, a lot of emotion going on in this scene. I also like the usage of dual dimentions (outside and inside the circle) Only thing I can really see slight improvement on would be shading the smoke in the background, that way it stands out. Otherwise, nice touches with the snow and head tilt. *thumbs up*

I think the circle needs to be slightly bigger, showing more of the sky than it is. Right now everything seems a bit... condensed.
Also some shading under Face would be good, to balance out the tree trunk. Or possibly moving Face a bit further away from the tree.

It looks really good but may I suggest using some light shades of gray or something like for his head and the smoke in the background. It might make it look more like a finished piece and not a sketch or something... Just a suggestion... >_>;
