It leads us on.For my best friend on Mother's Day. I'm early this year. Whoo! I love my Mom.
She's an amazing person.This was the hardest piece I've done to date. That grass? Yeah. By hand. One blade. At a time. Why. Why is grass evil? Because it likes to be. Anyway...this is definitely a VERY detailed background from me, even if it doesn't look like it. Yay for grass and water! I wanted it to be simple, but nice regardless. Hopefully I succeeded. Also, white is really hard to shade...that'll teach me.
The purple unicorn represents her, the blue one represents me. That was probably obvious for those of you who saw last year's Mother's Day present. (I'll link it below so you can see how awful it was before I officially move it to scraps.) Being apart from her is difficult sometimes, but hey, at least she answers the phone when I call! ...occasionally.
I don't know where we're going, but hey, we'll have fun when we get there.
So. Only one thing left!

Absolutely lovely! The image is so touching: even without knowing about it being a Mother's Day present, you can see a connection and warmth between the unicorns. And I have to say I was immediately drawn to the grass; your effort and attention to detail really makes it stand out. Great work!

I knew white was going to be an evil colour to shade.
