Yes you can! The adoptables will always come with a "Default" item as their heart token. But when you adopt it you are completely free to change the token to something you think would fit better design or story wise. The names above are only tags for me to save, feel free to change the names to whatever you like.

People can get an early access to my adoptables before they go public for sales if they pledge $5.00 USD or more to my Patreon!

When it comes to adoptables, sometimes it can be a little difficult to full commit and connect to them. You don't have that creators connection to them like you would with your own designs and work. Don't worry we got your back. Sometimes just a tweak here or pinch there is all it takes to really make a character all your own!
This is going to be a helpful guide to understanding the differences to the free minor edits you get to have at your disposal to the bigger more major modifications that you would need a Rarity Upgrade Ticket for. It sometimes is a fine if not blurry line, so we hope this gives everyone a better idea where the line is at.
Small and Minor Edits
These edits are considered freebies, doesn't matter if you purchased, traded, or got the adoptable as a gift. Once it's in your possession you have the right to ma

Accessories and Clothing:
If your pillowing has a "canon/always" outfit that they are required on ref or be drawn in 90% of the time that is usually called an 
But if you just like to randomly dress up your pillowing and do one-offs with clothes that is no-rating, totally allowed, free deal. People dress up small animals, you can do the same thing to a pillowing. (Pillowings who are ALWAYS wearing the same outfit or have their outfit sewn onto them as a part of the design would be uncommon feature!)

OTHER ITEMS / ACCESSORIES: All pillowings are allowed freebie accessories, so long as it's not an entire outfit. A hat, collar, bracelet, cape, those all would be non-rated items and totally fine to use. c: Just keep in mind anything that "pierces" the pillowings body/fabric would count towards
