Have you any idea why Apo on Mac (with VMWare which I know you haven't got) stops rendering just 0.004 seconds before the end, then won't quit?
It says:

which is strictly of no help at all to me.
I have to shut down the Windows part to get rid of it all and lose the fractal.
I has done that these past few days and worked well before.
I can see why you folks are trying to find a way to make it work properly.
I think I shall have to go back to the laptop for Apo, until my personal wizkid son comes to see me.

The vmware wrapper program that is running apo must have a vissing library that is needed to write the flame out a file. Have you tried to render the image as a bmp or jpg instead of a png format. maybe that could be the answer for this issue.

Ah, well, I do both .jpg and .png so maybe I should do just .jpg. It's true that I've been doing lots of .png recently.
